WHO WE ARE
In 2015, Pastors Joey and Sonja planted Fresh Church out of a simple but deep desire—to serve God and serve people in the heart of South Florida. Before there were Sunday services, stages, or even a building, there was prayer, preparation, and a vision: to make Jesus known through love in action.
For two years leading up to our first gathering, Fresh wasn’t meeting in pews or sanctuaries. Instead, we were out in the streets, sharing meals with the homeless, handing out clothes, hosting worship nights under open skies, and reminding the forgotten that God sees them. Outreach wasn’t just a program, it became the very DNA of Fresh Church, and it still fuels everything we do today.
When we finally launched Sunday gatherings in 2015, something beautiful happened. The South Florida community leaned in. People from every walk of life, students, families, singles, professionals, those searching for hope, came together with one shared longing: to experience and show the love of Jesus in a real and refreshing way.
At Fresh Church, we believe one thing with all our hearts: no matter who you are or where you come from, everyone could use a fresh start. That belief has shaped our community into a diverse, passionate, and welcoming family.
What started with just a handful of people and a dream to serve has now grown beyond South Florida. Today, Fresh Church is spreading the gospel across the United States, still holding true to the heartbeat that started it all: to show Jesus in our lives and share Jesus with the world.
